FundFest is St. Mary Cathedral School’s largest annual fundraiser and a cherished tradition that brings together families, friends, alumni, and supporters in celebration of our school community. After a brief pause in recent years, we are excited to bring FundFest back with the intention of reestablishing it as an annual tradition that continues to strengthen and support our school for years to come. More than just an event, FundFest is a reflection of who we are, a small but mighty school grounded in faith, connection, and a shared commitment to our students. The generosity shown each year directly supports the continued growth and success of St. Mary’s, helping us provide a learning environment where students can thrive academically, religiously, and socially.

This year, funds raised will support a series of impactful interior improvements, specifically targeting updates to new flooring, new lockers, fresh paint, and bathroom renovations. These much-needed updates will revitalize our school’s daily environment, creating brighter, more functional, and welcoming spaces for our students and staff. By investing in these updates, we are not only maintaining our building, but actively strengthening the experience of every child who walks through our doors each day. FundFest is a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when our community comes together in support of a common mission. We hope to see all of you at this year’s event, Oktoberfest: Steins, Saints, and Support.

Statements from St Mary Alumni:

"I went to St Mary School from 1st grade to graduation. A proud part of the super great class of ‘78. We were given a well-rounded education, but with values, wisdom, and lessons of relationships. There’s more to know than just books. Teaching about God, about how to get along with each other, and how to go out and become good human beings is woven into the core of their teaching. And that matters to each child who graduates and goes out into the scary world. St Mary School was a blessing in my life. Mary Rude, Class of 1978

"I went to St Mary School from eighth grade until I graduated! The tight-knit class was always amazing to me. We didn't have any clicks or cool kids. We were all one, and to this day, we still stay in touch. Fellowship was a strong part of who we were…always there for someone in their time of need. Bob Manuszak, Class of 1978

“I have always been so thankful for the faithful education I was able to receive at St Mary. I know that the foundation I built during my 13 years attending has been instrumental in my life and in my personal faith journey! I will always cherish my time as a Snowbird, the friendships I still carry and my countless memories.” Giorgi Nowicki, Class of 2016

“The 12 years I spent at St Mary School set me up for greater success throughout my life. It wasn't simply the solid education that prepared me, but the spiritual and relational development, as well. I owe much of my success to that foundation.” Kurt David, Class of 1980.

“I only went to St Mary School for the last three years of high school since we moved from Rogers City before my sophomore year. The great friends I made at St Mary are still my friends today, even though I don't see them as much as I'd like. My total and overall experience attending St Mary gets an A+ from me…..!!!!!” Ken Haske, Class of 1970
